Bible Book of the Month

In history, the word “exodus” refers to the exit of a large number of people; most uses of the word likely trace back to Exodus, the second book of the Bible. Exodus contains some of the most dramatic accounts of God’s delivering of His people, such as the Ten Plagues of Egypt and the parting of the Red Sea. It is also the basis for the well-known Biblical adaptation The Ten Commandments.

Well-known passages from Exodus:

Moses and the burning bush (Chapter 3)

The Ten Plagues (Chapters 7-12)

The parting of the Red Sea (Chapter 14)
